Shower cabin with no water proofing

Papers First

Most people prefer planning their lives far ahead. They imagine that they will buy a nice and neat house and live there happily ever after. And quite often, this process goes very smoothly without any bumps. But not always, unfortunately.

An unsuspicious person can be put through the wringer when confronted with water damage.

The same happened with our client, who saw her floor darken out of the blue. Our jaws dropped when we found out that the shower had been built without any waterproofing!

Trying to get a hold of the liable contractor was fruitless and a waste of time.

What can you do to be on the safe side?

Honestly, we don’t know. What definitely won’t hurt is getting a contractor’s license and proof of insurance to know exactly who is responsible.

Moreover, if the house was flipped, check the permits and company name on them.
