Our client faced water and mold damage in the bathroom ceiling and walls. He called Water’s Fault to perform a water damage assessment.
We detected Class 1 water damage. Excessive moisture was detected in the ceiling and on walls. Water damage mitigation and mold remediation were recommended, and the client made the decision to proceed with our company’s service to mitigate the damage.
Water and mold damage remediation was performed, taking all necessary safety precautions. After the drying was complete, we performed a water test and discovered the sources of leaks.
Our team did all the work step-by-step, following industry-standard practices:
- Building containment and decontamination chamber to protect the undamaged area from spreading of mold spores and dust
- Protecting the flooring from damage by covering it with building paper
- Partial removal of the ceiling
- Partial demolition of damaged drywall and insulation on walls
- Mechanical and chemical anti-mold treatment
- Dehumidification and drying with the help of professional equipment
- Moisture level control during and after the drying process
- Water test and leak source investigation
- Final dehumidification and drying with the help of professional equipment
- Applying mold-resistant coating to prevent the mold growth in the future
- Cleaning the job site
